JEJU ISLAND, South Korea — Australia's Marcus Fraser shot a 7-under 65 on Thursday to take a one-stroke lead in the suspended first round of the fog-disrupted Ballantine's Championship.
England's Mark Foster opened with a 66 at Pinx Golf Club in the event sanctioned by the European and Asian tours and the Korea PGA. Play was delayed for six hours by fog, then suspended because of darkness with only 36 players able to finish.
South Africa's Ernie Els and American Anthony Kim shot 68s.
South Korean star Y.E. Yang, playing a tournament on his home island for the first time since winning the PGA Championship last year, birdied the first hole before play was suspended for the day.
