Hassn Yebda is first start with the winning goal: Wolverhampton 0-1 Portamouth

Wolverhampton 0-1 Portamouth

By Peter Scrivener:
Portsmouth ended a turbulent week with their first Premier League win of the season courtesy of Hassan Yebda's goal.
The Algerian midfielder, who is on loan from Benfica, powerfully headed in Kevin Prince Boateng's right-wing cross after Wolves failed to clear a corner.
Home keeper Wayne Hennessey then pulled off a fine save, low to his right, from Aruna Dindane's first-time strike.
Wolves were denied a second-half penalty after Marc Wilson appeared to handle Michael Kightly's cross.
Entire seasons can change on pieces of good fortune and Portsmouth's may well have done just that on Saturday at Molineux with two important calls going their way.
They say adversity brings out the best in people, and Portsmouth proved that with a rousing win at Molineux to claim their first points of the season.
The Pompey Chimes may be ringing alarm bells, with the clubs financial problems well documented, but Paul Hart’s side must believe they can survive relegation again after their first league win since May, and their first away win since last November.
Few managers started the afternoon under as much pressure as Portsmouth's Paul Hart today; having got off to the worst start to a top-flight season by any side since 1930 with seven straight defeats and in a week in which they were unable to pay their players wages, Portsmouth were in dire need of something to smile about - such as their first points of the campaign.
Portsmouth dominated the opening 45 minutes against Wolverhampton Wanderers and Kevin Prince Boateng had two decent efforts on goal before Hassan Yebda gave them a well-deserved lead in the 20th minute.
Eighteen minutes into the first half the assistant referee correctly flagged for a corner for the south coast club.
The home side were appealing for a goal-kick after Tommy Smith looked to have run the ball out of play but it was George Elokobi's block that deflected the ball out.
