CHELSEA v BOLTOM || Carlo Ancelotti Targets First Trophy (Carling Cup)

CHELSEA v BOLTOM || Carlo Ancelotti Targets First Trophy (Carling Cup)

CHELSEA:
Carlo Ancelotti couldn't have wished for a better set of results last weekend and, with his side sitting at the head of the Premier League and with one foot in the Champions League knock-out stages, the Italian will be entitled to reflect on a successful three months should Chelsea beat Bolton and secure a place in the Carling Cup fifth round.Ancelotti is certainly making all the right noises about wanting to do well in the same competition that proved to be the catalyst for Jose Mourinho's extended run of success at Stamford Bridge although he will rest key players against Gary Megson's side.
"It's important because it's the first final," said the Chelsea manager. "It's the first title and we have a good opportunity tomorrow. We will change some things but we will pick a very competitive team."Ancelotti's plans will not be affected by reports that Wanderers were affected by swine flu last week. Blackburn manager Sam Allardyce, whose own squad has been affected by the virus, warned Chelsea's players are now at risk following the meeting between the two teams last weekend. But Ancelotti said: "I'm not worried because the flu is not only on the pitch, it's everywhere. We will take all the precautions but I'm not a doctor. I stick to my grandmother's recipe which is hot milk and red wine. It's fantastic."
Paulo Ferreira, Alex, Deco, Daniel Sturridge, Florent Malouda and Salomon Kalou all return with Nemanja Matic, Jeffrey Bruma and Fabio Borini on the bench along with Lampard, Drogba and Essien.Jose Bosingwa (knee), Ashley Cole (ankle), Yury Zhirkov (knee) and John Mikel Obi (knee) are all sidelined.
Provisional squad: Hilario, Turnbull, Belletti, Alex, Ivanovic, Ferreira, Deco, Ballack, Malouda, Sturridge, Kalou, J Cole, Essien, Lampard, Drogba, Bruma, Borini, Matic.
