Casie Cathrea, a 13-year-old freshman at Livermore High, was one of two players to qualify for the tournament Monday. Cathrea won a playoff with tour pro Nicole Jeray (after both players shot 71) to earn the final spot in the field. Sophia Sheridan, who played at Cal, shot 69 to land the other spot.
"The biggest thing is the amount of pressure I put on myself. I want to win in front of friends and family so badly, it consumes me. I almost want to win too much."
