Women's Champions 2009 tournament After making your selection:Paula Creamer

After making your selection:Paula Creamer

Creamer lost about 12 pounds in two weeks, though doctors think the flu was unrelated to her earlier health issues. At any rate, she arrives at Blackhawk Country Club's Lakeside Course trying to regain her strength and rediscover her winning ways.
Here's the curious thing about Creamer's season: Even though she hasn't won, she keeps planting herself in contention. She has posted nine top-10s - including one runner-up, three third-place finishes and a tie for fourth Sunday at the Samsung World Championship in San Diego - and ranks seventh on the money list with more than $1 million in earnings.
She also extended her strong history in the Solheim Cup, going 3-1 to help the U.S. defeat Europe outside Chicago. Creamer is 8-2-4 in her Solheim career. One of her partners in the event, Hall of Famer Juli Inkster, traced the numbers - and Creamer's strong season - to her tenacity.
Two years ago in the then-Longs Drugs Challenge, Creamer was 10 shots off the lead after she shot a 5-over 77 in the first round. She made the cut by three strokes and eventually finished tied for 11th.
Creamer would relish breaking through at Blackhawk and winning for the first time this season. She has struggled this year with a mysterious stomach ailment, a thumb injury and a back injury. A victory at home would be soothing.
